Where personal data protected by the GDPR is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, on an adequacy decision, or on another transfer mechanism permitted by Chapter V of the GDPR. You can ask us for details using the contact address above.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies that are strictly necessary for the site and the checkout to work, and, where you consent, cookies that measure how the site is used and how our advertising performs.

You can refuse or withdraw consent for non-essential cookies at any time through the cookie banner or your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent the cart and checkout from working.

We honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of any sharing of your personal data for targeted advertising.

You can also submit an opt-out request directly on our Your Privacy Choices page.

7. Marketing emails

If you subscribe, we send you marketing emails. Every message includes an unsubscribe link, and we act on unsubscribe requests within 10 business days, as required by the CAN-SPAM Act. You can also email contact@rockfordwatches.com to be removed. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop transactional messages about an order you have placed.

8. How long we keep your data

Account data Until you delete your account, then removed except where we must keep order records
Support correspondence 3 years after the last contact

The site runs over HTTPS. Payments are handled by PCI-DSS compliant providers and we do not store full card numbers. Access to order data is restricted to the people who need it to run the store. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data.

10. Your rights if you are a US resident

Depending on your state of residence, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon and other states with comprehensive privacy laws, you may have the right to:

  • know what personal data we have collected about you and how we use and disclose it
  • obtain a copy of that data in a portable format
  • correct inaccurate personal data
  • request deletion of your personal data
  • opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal data for targeted advertising
  • opt out of profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects
  • not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

We do not sell your personal data for money. However, where you allow advertising cookies as described in section 6, the resulting sharing of data with advertising partners may be treated as a "sale", as "sharing", or as "targeted advertising" under certain US state privacy laws.

You can opt out at any time in three ways: submit a request on our Your Privacy Choices page, refuse advertising cookies in the cookie banner, or browse with the Global Privacy Control signal enabled in your browser. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal data of consumers under 16 years of age.

To exercise any other right, email contact@rockfordwatches.com with the subject line "Privacy request". We respond within 45 days and may extend once by a further 45 days where the request is complex, in which case we tell you before the first period ends. We may need to verify your identity, normally by asking you to confirm details of an order.

You may use an authorized agent. We may ask the agent for written proof of authorization and ask you to confirm it directly.

If we refuse a request, we tell you why and how to appeal. To appeal, reply to our decision with the subject line "Privacy appeal". We respond to an appeal within 45 days. California residents may also complain to the California Privacy Protection Agency or the California Attorney General.

11. Your rights if you are in the EEA or the UK

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing already carried out.

Email contact@rockfordwatches.com. We respond within one month, extendable by two further months for complex requests, in which case we tell you within the first month.

You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Our lead authority is the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels, Belgium, autoriteprotectiondonnees.be. You may also complain to the authority of your own country of residence.

12. Automated decision-making

We do not take decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about you by automated means alone. Our payment providers run automated fraud screening on transactions. If a payment is declined on that basis, contact us and we will review it.

13. Children

The site is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 as defined by the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, email contact@rockfordwatches.com and we will delete it.
